Our name itself comes from Two Sanskrit roots: Akalpan (unimaginable) and Uru (wide horizon) a philosophy that defines who we are and how we design.

Ar. Dushyant Joshi

(Founder)

A multidisciplinary design professional holding an MA (Master’s in Museology) and a B.Arch, they bring 8 years of experience in thoughtfully curating spaces for better habitats. With a strong passion for film and set design, their work seamlessly blends storytelling with spatial design.

Widely appreciated for their creative approach, they have received multiple recognitions and have worked with several foundations on impactful projects. Their journey includes collaborations with renowned personalities such as Jasbir Suhani and Nitin Chandra Kant Desai, enriching their practice with diverse cultural and cinematic perspectives.

Ar. Riya Trivedi

(Principle Architect)

A well recognized Architect and Educator, they hold a B.Arch degree along with a Master’s in Urban Design, backed by 8 years of professional experience. Their design philosophy centers on simplicity with a hint of elegance, resulting in thoughtful and refined architectural solutions.

Having worked with renowned architects such as Mr. Amogh from Kanpur, they bring strong industry exposure into their practice and teaching. With a passion for mentoring, they have successfully trained over 100 students, shaping skilled and design driven professionals.

Akash Parashar

(Creative Director)

Akash is the Creative Director at Akauru, where imagination meets precision to craft immersive, cinematic environments. A graduate of Amity University, Mumbai, Akash brings over 6 years of hands on experience in production design and cinatic experience curation, blending storytelling with spatial design.

His work is driven by a deep understanding of narrative, mood, and visual composition transforming concepts into emotionally engaging, film like experiences. From large scale installations to detail rich experiential spaces, Akash’s design language seamlessly bridges cinema, architecture, and audience psychology.

At Akauru, he plays a pivotal role in shaping the studio’s creative vision conceptualising experiences that are bold, evocative, and technologically integrated. With a strong command over visual storytelling, set design, lighting, and immersive sequencing, Akash consistently pushes boundaries to create environments that don’t just look striking, but feel alive.

Mrs. Malvika Joshi

(Chief Operating Officer)

Malavika Joshi is the heart of Akauru’s people and processes. As the HR and Office Regulatory Member, she brings over 20 years of rich experience in administration and education, combining empathy with strong organizational discipline. Known for her calm guidance and dependable leadership, she ensures that the workplace remains structured, inclusive, and supportive.

She plays a key role in nurturing a healthy work culture one where creativity thrives within clarity, trust, and mutual respect. From onboarding team members to resolving day to day operational needs, Malavika Joshi is often the first point of reassurance and support for the Akauru family.

Her presence at Akauru goes beyond roles and responsibilities; she helps build a sense of belonging, stability, and shared purpose, making the studio not just a workplace, but a collaborative community.
